ACME Consulting is a boutique law firm specialising in commercial legal work including, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency, company restructuring, corporate advisory, intellectual property, corporate governance, employment, and dispute resolution.
We advise businesses and organisations from small to medium sized corporations including recent start-ups to large multinational companies and we work collaboratively with a network of local and international associates and experts across all fields to give you a seamless and peak performance service.
Its important for us to understand the client and the nature of their business, in other words, we want to recognise their ‘WHY’. Once we understand their WHY, we can help our client’s corporations establish the legal framework, through our advisory services, to assist and support in achieving their goals. Our client’s goals and objectives can be realised through a range of advisory services provided by ACME including corporate governance, merger and acquisition strategies, drafting solid contracts and agreements, robust employment agreements and strategies, IP protection and resolving disputes.

about the founder
ACME CONSULTING, an Australian boutique law firm, with international offices around the world has recently been founded by John Tomaras.
John Tomaras has over 23 years of experience in commercial law, corporate advisory and dispute resolution while working in his own law firm of 16 years and more recently working in large multi-disciplinary law firms bringing a strong commercial law background and experience to the firm while providing commercial, litigation and corporate advice and legal services.
John practices substantially in Sydney but his practice extends to advising and assisting clients with corporate restructuring and commercial advice across Asia (Singapore, Vietnam and Philippines), construction disputes and arbitration in the UAE and advising Australians with respect to legal and inheritance disputes in Greece through his actual and associated law firms.
John has worked, advised and attended to projects in the UAE, Asia and Greece as well as appeared in arbitrations as co-counsel in a number of legal proceedings in the UAE and Asia (Singapore and Sri Lanka).
John has extensive experience in civil, commercial and corporate laws in Australia and UAE and has worked closely with his overseas associated offices in a number of matters. He has acted as counsel at a number of disputes and arbitration in Australia and internationally including the UAE.
John is a Notary Public and currently a member of the Australia Institute of Company Directors and legal counsel for a number of small to medium size corporations and organisations with local and international projects. His practice focuses primarily on local and international clients in corporate advisory, corporate restructuring, taxation, intellectual property (trade mark and copyright) construction and commercial litigation.
